Saw-Whet Owls are very small owls with cat-like faces. They are thought to have been named for their call that sounds like a saw being sharpened on a whetting stone. Birds are popular in home decor, and adding this little perched owl is a fun way to add a neutral color to any room. This brown owl is entirely hand-crafted with delicate carving, painted with incredible detail, and then finished with wax polish. Our perched, hand-carved miniature Saw-Whet Owl is 10" tall.
We're delighted to offer a large selection of beautiful birds for your enjoyment. These birds are fairly traded using sustainable softwood and non-toxic paints.
Please note: the bases are intended to look as natural as possible. They are cut raw and left to the elements. Sun, rain and even insects all have a part to play in creating character and may look as natural as if found on the forest floor. There are no hard rules and depending on time and season pieces can have more or less signs of age, but wear elements, insect holes and cracks are entirely natural and reflect our brand's intentionally imperfect character. - Aviologie
